Mine clearance using machines and mechanisms — large-scale speed and safety

When it comes to large areas that need to be cleared of explosive ordnance, demining using machines and mechanisms comes to the fore. This is a technological solution that allows for quick, efficient and safe ground clearance.

Deminex uses specialized equipment adapted to the conditions of Ukraine to ensure safe and reliable clearance of fields, forest belts, roads, industrial areas and other large objects.

What is demining using machines and mechanisms?

This is the process of clearing an area of unexploded ordnance using special engineering equipment: trawls, augers, tracked vehicles that physically process the soil to a certain depth. The machines destroy, activate, or detect explosive hazards, allowing deminers to assess the situation and manually clear areas if necessary.

This method is ideal for:
- large areas - tens and hundreds of hectares
- open areas - fields, meadows, areas outside cities
- pre-sowing work in agriculture
- preparation for infrastructure construction

How does the process work?
1. First, a non-technical and technical survey is conducted to determine the hazard area.
2. After that, the area is marked and prepared for processing by machinery.
3. A specialized machine treats the soil, destroying or detonating the ERW by recognizing metal objects.
4. After the equipment passes, sappers perform visual inspection and, if necessary, spot cleaning by hand.
5. All data is recorded - a full report, a map of the site, photos and coordinates are compiled.

What equipment do we use?

Deminex has in its arsenal:
- armored demining vehicles that can operate even under high threat
- tracked systems with deep soil processing
- devices for deep mixing and sifting of the earth
- equipment with high mobility that allows you to work in hard-to-reach areas

We adapt the equipment to specific conditions: soil type, vegetation, weather conditions, and terrain.

Why is demining using machines and mechanisms effective?
- Speed: the equipment can process up to several hectares per day, which is ten times faster than manual methods.
- Safety: minimal risk to people - the machine takes the brunt of the danger.
- Accuracy: modern equipment ensures the depth and completeness of processing, detects even small fragments.
- Cost: for large areas, mechanization is often more cost-effective in the long run.

Why choose Deminex?
- We have our own fleet of equipment that is regularly updated and inspected
- Our operators are experienced professionals who have been trained and certified
- We carry out a full cycle: from survey to cleaning and reporting
- We provide legally significant documentation on the state of the territory

What do you get after demining with the use of machines and mechanisms?
- A fully processed area suitable for agriculture, construction or other needs
- A report that includes a map, description of the equipment, a list of found/neutralized objects
- Official confirmation for authorities or investors
- If necessary, a plan for further actions (manual cleanup, monitoring, etc.)

ANSWERS TO FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • What is the depth of processing during demining using machines and mechanisms?

Depends on the type of equipment, but usually up to 25-30 cm, which is sufficient to detect most of the UHVs in rural areas.

  • Is manual post-cleaning necessary after the machine?

Sometimes, yes. Especially if areas with a high level of pollution or difficult terrain are found.

  • Is it possible to start work on the field immediately after demining?

Yes, after confirmation of cleaning and a report from our company.

  • Is it dangerous for nearby residents?

No. We comply with all safety measures. The work is carried out in complete isolation with appropriate warning and security.

  • How much does it cost?

The price depends on the area, access to equipment and the complexity of the terrain. Contact us and we will make a preliminary calculation.
